Baseball Spring Training!!

Baseball it's a beautiful thing!!!
The sharp looking guy below on the playing field with the green Nikon cap is me :)
I had some free time this week to get out and do a little sports photography that I love so much. I had a chance to shoot the NY Mets and the Florida Marlins had a blast, here are some shots of the day.

Everytime I step foot on a baseball or football field it brings back awesome Memories of when I shot for AP // The Associated Press the wire, Shooting with the best True Journalist/Photographers on the planet. goodtimes....

NICE stuff my friend! Awesome timing on those hits and catches. You make it look easy (but we both know better!). Shooting pro sports is hard work.

Take care bro.

Ray did you use a D3 with the 11 fps or was that the trusty D2Hs ??

I love the ball entering the glove shot and the low DOF shot of the slide.

Looks like you had a good time probably shot 10,000 images right.

Associated Press probably miss you buddy. Enjoy the next game, I still dont understand the rules but always a nice social game to watch, even better to photograph right !!

Ray, The real question is whether you were lucky enough to watch the Mets newest and best pitcher, another Mr. Santana? As a Twins fan, the mere thought of him in a Mets uniform pretty much stinks! The visuals of sunshine, t-shirts, and baseball is a little too much for a Minnesota guy right about now! Great work as usual.

Hi Ray! I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know I love your site and work. Spent a little time "stalking" this evening after I revisited Grace Ormonde's Platinum list. Just checking out fellow FL photographers - I'm in Tampa. And how awesome that you got to shoot at a Mets game! Of course, I'm pretty partial to the Cubs. My husband is reminding me at this very moment how much he hates the Mets...something about "with a white hot passion of a thousand burning suns." Yikes!

Nice shots uncle! Counting the minutes till we hang in Vegas baby! I reserved two seats at the high stakes no limit table at the Wynn. They will have a stack of $100 chips waiting there for us for warm up :) After that... we're taking the wives to cirque du soleil!
